What this site collects
Idaho Bees (idahobees.com) is a personal beekeeping journal. It's not a commercial site. The only personal data actively collected is through the contact form — your name, email, and message go to Maggie's inbox via Netlify Forms.
Analytics
Two anonymous analytics tools run on this site:
- Google Analytics 4 (property
G-X4PMRSSS02) — page views, referrers, and rough device/country data. IP addresses are anonymized by Google. Data retention is 14 months. - Microsoft Clarity (project
wcxs8sssra) — anonymized session replays and heatmaps so I can spot broken layouts or unreadable paragraphs. No keystroke recording in form fields.
Neither tool identifies you personally. No data is sold, shared with advertisers, or used for retargeting. See the Cookie Policy for opt-out links.
Cookies & localStorage
This site sets only what's needed to run. Functional localStorage keys (ib-theme, ib-a11y) remember your theme and accessibility toggles. Analytics cookies come from the tools listed above. No advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no affiliate trackers. Full list and opt-out instructions in the Cookie Policy.
Third-party services
Google Fonts is loaded from Google's CDN (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) and may log your IP per Google's policies. If you block third-party font requests, the site falls back to your system fonts and remains fully readable.
Contact form (Netlify Forms)
If you send a message via the contact form, it's delivered to my inbox through Netlify Forms. Netlify processes the submission per its privacy policy and stores it briefly to prevent spam. I retain your message only as long as needed to reply or follow up.
Your rights
If you've sent a contact form message and want your data deleted, email wattemaggie@gmail.com and I'll remove it from my inbox.
